Dr A. P. Matthews appointed as new Head of School.
The School of Physics in Durban has an established undergraduate programme, offering courses from the first year to honours (fourth year) levels, and an active research programme. It has a range of research interests, with its biggest strengths lying in the areas of Quantum Information Science, and Space, Atmospheric and Plasma Physics. The School of Physics in Durban is host to the regional node of the National Institute of Theoretical Physics (NITheP) at its Westville Campus.
